When his health permitted he attended our little church on Leighton Point Rd., Grace Chapel and in memory of his mother gave a generous donation for our lighted anchor stained glass window. In winter the steeple window greets neighbors with a message of steadfast hope on their way home from a hard day.

On a personal level, he made it possible for us to acquire land on Clarkside Rd. to build our final home. He was a good neighbor. However, his declining health made visits fewer apart and winters in warm Florida necessary.

We would like his family to know that we have fond memories of Johnny and are grateful to the Lord for knowing him. I only wish we could have known him during his more active years. There is a verse in the scriptures that remind me of God's promise to Johnny found in Hebrews 6:20 "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have showed toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister."

Sincerely, Don & Sheryl Ross family
